Who we are

Serenity Accommodation is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. You can contact us about privacy matters, or to exercise any of your rights, at enquiries@myserenitystays.com.

This website is enquiry-only. It takes no payments, collects no card or bank details and asks for no telephone number.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, your email address, the message or requirements you describe, and — where the form asks for them — the property, dates, length of stay, location and number of guests you are enquiring about. Company enquiries may include a company name.

We also record the page the enquiry was sent from, the wording and version of the consent statement you agreed to, the date and time of your consent, and a technical record used to protect the form from automated abuse.

How we use your information and our lawful bases

To respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible stay — your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

To arrange, confirm and manage a stay you go on to book — performance of a contract with you.

To protect the enquiry form against spam, abuse and automated submissions, and to keep our systems secure — our legitimate interests.

To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations where a stay is confirmed — compliance with a legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with these categories of recipient: our hosting, database and email-delivery providers, who process it on our instructions; property owners or contractors where this is required to deliver a stay you have booked; and professional advisers or public authorities where we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for marketing lists.

International transfers

Our hosting, database and email providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a stay: kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted or anonymised.

Confirmed stays and the related financial records: kept for up to 6 years where accounting and tax law requires it.

We delete or anonymise personal information once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Security

Enquiries are submitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled database. Access is limited to the people who need it to answer enquiries and manage stays, and administrative access is restricted to authorised Serenity accounts.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable form where applicable.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing enquiries@myserenitystays.com; withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the storage needed to operate its pages and remember your choices during a visit. No analytics or advertising provider is currently connected, so no non-essential tracking takes place. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
